One cable needle (appropriate size cable needle foryour yarn gauge)
Version A: Size 3 U.S. (3.25 mm) 16” circularneedles; Size 0 U.S. (2 mm) 24” circular needles, size D (3.25 mm) crochet hook. Approximately five yards fingering wt waste yarn.
Version B: Size 8 U.S. (5 mm) 16” circular needles; Size 5 U.S. (3.75 mm) 24” circular needles, size H (5 mm) crochet hook. Approximately five yards worsted wt waste yarn

Yarn
Version A: 1 hank Jade Sapphire Mongolian Cashmere 2ply (100% cashmere, 400 yards) shown in Bing Bing Red (lace wt). Version B: 4 hanks The Fibre Company Terra (40% baby alpaca, 40% merino wool, 20% silk, 98 yards) shown in Henna (worsted wt.)
