View full detailsAfter a childhood in the 1970’s where clay and knitting was an integral part of the curriculum,`Amanda Banham studied for a degree in Illustration combined with ceramics as she prefers a 3-D approach to life. Her houses are made using the raku firing technique which is what gives her houses their crackled appearance.
There is a community spirit at the heart of Amanda’s houses. They are inspired by the houses on a street called Castle Street in her home town of Saffron Walden in Essex. Stories about the people who live in them are shared on her website and Instagram. Amanda works in her studio everyday with her three dogs and radio 4 for company.
Amanda has made this range of Raku fired houses with darned roofs as an exclusive range for Loop.
