Daughter of a Shepherd - Brume DK
The misty, silvery version of our original Hebridean/Zwartbles yarn. The natural white of the Exmoor Blueface enhances the silver tones found in the Hebridean to create a shade with lots of movement. A soft handle produces a fabric with bounce and a little more drape than the original and you will be pleased to know this new addition retains the original (and famous) signature scent of the fields, flock and new lambs in straw-filled barns. I am completely besotted with it!
The Hebridean fleece was clipped on 24th June 2016 at Escrick Park Estate and both the Zwartbles and Exmoor Blueface are sourced locally to the mill in Devon.
Rachel's passion for the importance of provenance, collaborating with both shepherds, mills, designers and weavers has been a wonder to watch unfold over the last few years. We love her, her yarn and her story. See more of her story on our youtube channel as well as our Instagram TV channel.
