Perfect for embroidery on knits and any other fabric where you need to follow a template.

A soft, non-woven stabiliser that makes hand embroidery on tricky fabrics and knits much easier. It holds stretchy, fine or loosely woven surfaces steady while you stitch, gives you a clear place to draw your design, then dissolves completely in cold water once you're done.

Good for

  • Embroidering onto knitwear, from finished jumpers to hand-knitted pieces
  • Fine, slippery or stretchy fabrics that pucker or shift as you work
  • Transferring designs onto dark or textured surfaces where pencil won't show

How to use

  1. Draw your design onto the Solufleece in pencil. DO NOT use any waterbased markers.
  2. Tack it over your fabric or knit. On woven fabric you can also hoop it up; on knits, tacking is gentler and avoids stretching the stitches.
  3. Embroider your design through both layers.
  4. When you've finished, remove the tacking and dissolve the Solufleece in cold water. Lay knits flat to dry.

Please don't iron Solufleece or tear it away. It needs to be dissolved in water.

Suitable for any fabric or knit that can be washed.
