We are thrilled to welcome Yanina Schenkel to Loop in January from Argentina!

Learn to craft a PicaPau Amigurumi character with expert help from Yanina Schenkel.  Perfect for beginners or experienced crochet amigurumi makers! You will need to know how to make basic crochet stitches and be comfortable using a crochet hook. You will be taken through a general review of the basic crochet stitches and all the techniques necessary to make almost any crocheted toy.

Get to know Yanina’s super cute, unique, and charming amigurumi characters. We’ll provide everything you need to create the super sweet Olivia Mouse or Greta Hen character in class.  Olivia Mouse is for beginners to intermediate crocheters and Greta the Hen is for more advanced crocheters.  But don’t worry, there will be plenty of help on hand if you don’t know something or get stuck in class.

You can see more of the PicaPau friends in Yanina's books, Animal Friends of Pica Pau, Pica Pau 2 and Pica Pau 3 all of which we love and admire for their very unique creativity.

These workshops will be held right next door to Loop, at our lovely neighbour Frequency Coffee. Please come to Loop at least a few minutes before the class starts and we will give you your kit, and bring you over to Frequency, to settle you in with a free coffee as well.
