Loop + Aitor - Special Embroidery Box PREORDER
Original templates, threads, fabric swatches, and haberdashery!
PLEASE NOTE: please order any other items separately as this is a preorder and won't be shipped until Friday the 18th of September.
We're so excited to share this beautiful embroidery collection, created in collaboration with Aitor Saraiba. It's one of those projects where everything came together just right—his distinctive illustrations, materials we absolutely love, and thoughtful Japanese craft details all in one special box.
Inside you'll find 25 embroidery templates on thick card, each featuring Aitor's original designs. We've included gorgeous threads from Laines Vilaines (hand-dyed!), Au Ver à Soie wool threads, and Sajou. Fabric swatches from Mina Perhonen are included alongside carefully chosen vintage fabric swatches that Susan brought home from Kyoto. The colour and texture combinations are just gorgeous.
There is also a bespoke Loop haberdashery tin that includes embroidery needles and a threader.
It all arrives in a bespoke box handmade in the UK, with Aitor's illustration beautifully rendered in gold foil. We adore these boxes—they're sturdy enough to become a permanent home for your embroidery bits and pieces, the kind of thing you'll reach for again and again.
This is a limited-edition collaboration that brings together so many things we love. It's special, it's beautiful, and we think you're going to adore working with it.
* 2 Sajou St. Pierre wool threads
Our boxes are made by W. MacCarthy & Sons, a 5th-generation family-run business established in 1880, which has been manufacturing cardboard packaging for 143 years. Their wire-stiched boxes are handmade in their London factory.
A lot of love and thought has gone into curating the contents, most of all from Aitor of course, with his wonderful drawings, as well as the time he and Susan spent over many months planning this special Embroidery box. We hope it brings you much joy to your embroidery.
Thank you to Aitor and the hand-dyers and independent makers who have helped make this so special.
