Karakara Embroidery Kit PREORDER
This is a preorder for a delivery coming soon. Please order anything else separately for now.
Karakara is a Japanese onomatopoeic word describing dryness or a light rattling sound — like seashells or small stones moving against each other. KARAKARA embroidery thread reflects this quality with its distinctive dry, airy texture.
Made using washi paper, the thread has a unique lightness and presence that gives even the simplest stitches a special character. It is particularly striking when used to fill embroidered areas, creating beautifully textured, one-of-a-kind results.
Notes
-
Always use the included threader when threading the needle.
-
To avoid overworking the thread, we recommend stitching with lengths of around 40 cm or shorter.
-
KARAKARA thread is not suitable for thick fabrics such as canvas.
-
Both the threads and printed fabric are sensitive to heat. Iron on the reverse side at a low temperature.
-
As the threads are made from paper, keep them away from open flames.
-
The threads may shrink if they come into contact with water.
