with a 45 min break for lunch.

There is a 45-minute break for lunch (not supplied by Loop, but there are lots of places very nearby on Camden Passage and Upper Street) or you are welcome to bring your lunch.
Tea, coffee, and cakes will be supplied.

This is a great class for those moving on from the beginners workshop, or for those who know how to crochet a little, but want to progress from the basic stitches and gain confidence with crocheting. You should know the basic double, half treble and treble stitches before you begin this class.

We will cover intermediate skills such as shaping, cluster stitches, professional finishing techniques and tips, reading patterns and charts, plus we'll look at how to use some of these techniques in more complex motifs, joining them as you go.

Materials info:  Improvers will need some DK or Aran weight yarn, ideally at least two balls, or oddments of lots of different shades from your stash so we can play with stripes and different coloured rounds in the motifs. Try to choose shades that are not too dark in shade and yet are contrasting so that the stitch definition and stripes will be obvious.
Also, a hook relevant to the weight of yarn used (4 or 4.5mm for DK 4.5-5.5mm for Aran).
Learners will also need a darning needle and some ring or lockable stitch markers.
It may also be helpful to bring a pen to make your own notations on the given worksheets or in a small notebook as often these notes are really helpful as an aide memoire after the class has finished.
