Beginner Crochet Class
* Please remember when booking a class to include your phone number so we can contact you about the class if necessary.
The beginners class will run over two weeks with one 3 hour session per week
(for a total of 6 hours of tuition)
Saturdays March 2nd & March 9th, 2024
Morning Class: 10:30-1:30 pm
A workshop perfect for absolute beginners, those who have tried to crochet, but struggled to get started, or even those who have done a little crochet but want to gain confidence in the basic stitches. This class will teach the basic crochet stitches and techniques, making swatches of each, working straight and in the round to practise and build confidence in the skills. We will cover double, half-treble, and treble crochet stitches, working a basic granny square in the round, basic pattern reading, pattern abbreviations, and terminology.
We will supply the materials for you in this class which you will be able to keep. If you'd like to bring your own hooks (4mm - 5.5mm for DK or Aran weight yarn) or any other materials you might want to use that's fine.
It may also be helpful to bring a pen to make your own notations on the given worksheets or in a small notebook as often these notes are really helpful as an aide memoire after the class has finished.
