PP - Monarch Butterfly
“Monarch Butterfly” is a lovely lace shawl named after the famous migrating butterflies.
It has a crescent shape, with wide “butterfly” lace border and is knit sideways in light fingering yarn.
This pattern will look equally lovely if made in sock yarn, lace or even a DK weight. As it is worked sideways it is very easy to change its size just by knitting more lace repeats. Also perfect for using up all the yarn; use half the ball for the increase part, leaving a little to make one full repeat on the straight section and use up the rest for the decrease section.
Shown in Eden Cottage Theseus Lace in colour 'Driftwood', with 13 repeats of the lace pattern in the increase and decrease sections.
