YARN:

owl/ cerulean 315 /  9 (9, 9, 10, 11, 11, 12, 12, 13, 14) skeins

NEEDLES:

32” circular in sizes US 8 and US 9 [5 and 5.5 mm] / set dpns in size US 8 and US 9 [5 and 5.5 mm] 

GAUGE:

17 sts and 26 rows = 4" [10 cm] in reverse stockinette stitch with larger needle, after blocking 

NOTES:

Cardi is knitted from bottom up with a deep brioche rib at hem. Shoulders are joined with three-needle bind off. Stitches for the sleeves are picked up around the armhole and sleeve is knitted to cuff. Front bands above ribbed border are worked separately and sewn to center front edges. 

SKILLS REQUIRED:

Long-tail cast on, brioche, three-needle bind off, backward loop cast on, w&t short rows, seaming. Links and/or instructions provided for all techniques.
