Daughter of a Shepherd - Hebridean DK (Limited Edition)
Just arrived!
Celebrating its 10th anniversary, Daughter of a Shepherd's Grade 1 Hebridean fibre is sourced from the North of England, gently processed in Yorkshire, and worsted spun as a 3ply by John Arbon Textiles in Devon.
The colourway is complex and entirely natural — a deep pitch brown threaded with silver fibres straight from the fleece. The soft handle gives the finished fabric real bounce and structure, the kind that holds its shape and looks good for years. Each skein carries Daughter of a Shepherd's signature scent: fields, flock, and new lambs in straw-filled barns.
Rachel's passion for the importance of provenance, collaborating with both shepherds, mills, designers and weavers has been a wonder to watch unfold over the last few years. We love her, her yarn and her story. See more of her story on our youtube channel as well as our Instagram TV channel.
