Hannah Ginn founded Circus Tonic Handmade in 2014 after a break from many years studying Molecular Biology and working in the field of Genomics. Having been a maker, collector and lifelong learner her love of natural history, colour and community came together in dyeing yarn that travels the world. Hannah says so much of the joy starts in the inspiration for the colours and her focus on Australian native birds, flora and landscapes sparked a real interest and sentimentality within her customers. The planning and slow methodical work of a dyer is very reminiscent of her old laboratory days so it suits her down to the ground. Now a family business based in Adelaide, Circus Tonic Handmade is growing and evolving to supply modern makers with the tools of their dreams.
