'Schtickle' for Charity
Schtickle—a small amount, a little bit of something
Occasionally we come across something that is much loved but maybe a little bit imperfect.
Things that aren’t perfect but still completely useful and beautiful, regardless.
This is our 'schtickle' for charity. We will be adding items from time to time, so check back here once in a while to see what we have! All proceeds from items sold here will go directly to a charity.
This Winter, 2023, we donated £1,100 to Medicins Sans Frontieres (Doctors Without Borders) by holding an online auction for a fabulous Mystery Box of Textile Treasures. The highest bid was £550, which we matched!
We are also doing a fundraiser on Instagram for the World Central Kitchen.
Our 2022 Spring- Summer season fundraiser was in aid of the International Rescue Committee. On November 15th, Giving Tuesday, when donations are doubled, we donated £831 ($975) turning it into a great donation of £1,662 ($1,950)! Thank you everyone!
The proceeds of everything we sell in our Schtickle section will go towards Rescue.org
The International Rescue Committee (IRC) helps people affected by humanitarian crises—including the climate crisis—to survive, recover and rebuild their lives.
The IRC are currently in Ukraine, and neighbouring countries, supporting evacuation efforts for women and children and assisting the millions of displaced people.
