Hand-painted and kettle dyed yarns.
To achieve the long colour runs in their Flux and Ombré yarns they have developed their own dyeing process. Though labour intensive, the hands-on nature of the process allows them to ensure an even consistency in the yarn and colours over multiple dye lots.
Their method also means that though their yarns will match very well from one dye lot to the next, no two balls of yarn will ever be the same. The long, smooth gradient colour transitions make them especially beautiful for shawls and wraps, and their soft loft and strength (thanks to a gentle felting effect during dyeing) mean they’re a pleasure to knit and wear against the skin.
However Tina does it, Loop is completely smitten with Freia yarns — a joy to look at and a pleasure to knit with. We currently stock the beautiful Merino Shawl Balls.
