Qing Fibre

Hand-dyed by independent yarn dyer Layla Qing. Originally from Beijing, Layla grew up surrounded by traditional folk crafts before making London her home. A passionate crafter with a deep love of colour, she founded Qing Fibre in 2016 after setting out to create the bold, expressive colourways she couldn't find anywhere else.

What began in a small London flat has grown into something much bigger: a dedicated dye studio in London and a second studio in Beijing, her hometown. Together, they produce Qing Fibre's distinctive palette — from the most vibrant hues to the deepest, most complex shades — each skein dyed in small batches with real care and craft.

Fibres are carefully and ethically sourced from the world's finest mills, then hand-dyed across both studios into the colourways that have made Qing Fibre one of the most recognisable indie dyers in the knitting world.

All Qing Fibre bases are ethically sourced, mulesing-free and traceable to the farm
