New date for 2025!

January 26th

11:30- 4pm ( with a short break)

* Please remember when booking a class to include your phone number so we can contact you about the class if necessary.

This is a great class for those moving on from the beginners workshop, or for those who know how to crochet a little, but want to progress from the basic stitches and gain confidence with crocheting. You should know the basic double, half treble and treble stitches before you begin this class.

The course covers working in the round, learning how to increase and decrease, creating cluster stitches such as Shells, Puffs, Popcorns and Bobbles and guidance with pattern and chart reading, which will be used when making some pretty floral motifs. Also learn invaluable tips and techniques to help give your work a professional finish.

The class will take place ..... and there will be a short break.  Tea, coffee, and cakes will be supplied and there are also lots of great café's and places to grab a bit to eat around the shop.

Materials info:  Improvers will need some DK or Aran weight yarn, ideally at least two balls, or oddments of lots of different shades from your stash so we can play with stripes and different coloured rounds in the motifs. Try to choose shades that are not too dark in shade and yet are contrasting so that the stitch definition and stripes will be obvious.
Also, a hook relevant to the weight of yarn used (4 or 4.5mm for DK 4.5-5.5mm for Aran).
Learners will also need a darning needle and some ring or lockable stitch markers.
It may also be helpful to bring a pen to make your own notations on the given worksheets or in a small notebook as often these notes are really helpful as an aide memoire after the class has finished.
