Take advantage of our knitting expertise and get those projects finished and looking great in time for the holidays!

From 11-2pm ( 3 hours)

Even after you’ve cast off your final stitch, there are still lots of steps to completing a knit!
This workshop will cover a range of techniques so you can give your projects a professional finish.
You’ll learn
- How to weave in ends
- Invisible seaming with mattress stitch
- How to pick up stitches for a neckline or armhole
- What ‘blocking’ is and why it’s a transformative finishing technique
All abilities are welcome, but participants must be confident with casting on/off, knit and purl.
Please can participants prepare and bring:
- Two 10cm x 10cm square swatches using a smooth DK or Aran weight yarn in
stocking stitch. Please leave the ends long, at least 20cm (don’t weave them in!)
- Two 10cm x 10cm square swatches using a smooth DK or Aran weight yarn in garter
stitch. Please leave the ends long, at least 20cm (don’t weave them in!)
- A pair of 4mm or 5mm needles (straight or circular)
- A pen.

Worksheets will be provided but you might like to make notes.
Participants are welcome to bring a project/WIP that is in need of finishing so we can discuss techniques.

Workshop will provide
- Darning needles
- Yarn
- Scissors
- Stitch markers
