Anna Rose's Cowl - Trine Bertelsen

Anna-Rose's cowl is an adorable and feminine cowl, with a beautiful smock pattern.  The cowl is knitted from top to bottom and has a high neck rib that keeps the baby's neck warm on a cold autumn or winter day. The neckline can be knitted in 1 thread Lama wool (see main photo) or with 2 thread Yaku (100% merino wool that has been superwashed).

Sizes: 
1/2 - 1 (2-3) 4-5 (6-9) yrs.

Yarn: 
2 strands of Yaku (merino wool) 
This sample is knit in Yaku, colour dusty rose (6020).

Alternative yarn:
1 strand of Lamatweed or Lamauld 50% llama & 50% wool

Required yardage: 
2 skeins in all qualities.

Needle sizes: 
Circular needle size 4.5 mm and 5 mm (40 cm), 5 mm (60 cm).

Gauge: 
24 sts x 24 rounds = 10 x 10 cm on circular needle size 5 mm.
