Sophie Ochera - Loop's The Original Sweater Kit

Just launched!

To celebrate the launch of the adult hand knitting pattern from Sophie Ochera,  of her 'Original Sweater', we have collaborated with Sophie to put together this special edition sweater kit. Featuring Loop’s signature palette of rich retro-vintage tones, the design is brought to life using John Arbon Textiles' luxurious Knit by Numbers 4ply yarn.

John Arbon is a women-owned and run British mill in Devon, England. 

This seamless, top-down adult sweater combines heritage-inspired Fair Isle with a modern aesthetic. Small-scale “Peerie” motifs create a charming contrast to the bold all-over pattern on the body and sleeves. Subtle shaping at the sleeves and body—achieved through cleverly placed decorative stripes—adds a flattering, contemporary fit with timeless appeal.

Gauge:

28 stitches and 30 rows to 10 x 10 cm

Needles: 

3 - 3.5 mm needle 80cm in length or size used to achieve correct gauge.

1 x 2.75 mm circular needle for the neckband and cuff ribbing.
Or needle to get gauge, then one size down for
the ribbing

Our kits come in 2 sizes.  There is enough yarn in each kit to accommodate varying tensions and sizes within that range. Keep in mind that the sweater is recommended to be worn with 10 - 20cm of positive ease and choose your size accordingly. 

S/M - finished bust size 104-113cm/ 41- 44 inches 

L/XL - finished bust size 121.5cm -130cm/  48- 51 inches
