A sweet, joyful little knit — and a genuinely easy one. Tiny Tassels is a triangle shawlette with rows of miniature tassels running along both side edges, worked up in colours that make it a pleasure to wear any time of year. If you've been wanting to try a shawl but aren't ready for anything complicated, this is a lovely place to start — straightforward shaping, satisfying texture, and a finished piece you'll actually reach for.

This kit brings together two independent hand-dyers. Hedgehog Fibres is dyed by hand in Ireland, known for rich, painterly colourways with real depth of tone. Uncommon Thread is a British yarn, hand-dyed here in the UK, and brings a brighter, punchier note to the palette — the two together give this shawlette its lovely tonal contrast.

  • A smaller yarn cake (equivalent to roughly ⅕ skein of Uncommon Thread Uncommon Everyday or 2 Unicorn Tails, wound and ready to knit

The kit works out cheaper than buying two full skeins or four Unicorn Tails separately — and it saves you the job of winding the mini skein yourself.

If this kit sells out, you can knit it with any 4ply hand-dyed yarn from stock, using stash yarn or Unicorn Tails for the tassels. We also still have the La Bien Aimée Cashmerino version available.
