Loop - Handmade Oak Darning Mushroom

Hand-turned in oak by Gary Dunham, a furniture maker in Scotland, this darning mushroom brings proper craftsmanship to a small, quiet job. The oak itself comes from a German sawmill, chosen for its density and even grain. Each one is turned individually on the lathe, so the grain and weight vary slightly, no two are quite the same. The domed head gives a firm, smooth surface to stretch your knitwear over, making it easier to see and mend holes cleanly, while the handle sits comfortably in the hand for longer repair sessions. 

Finished with the Loop hare logo, it’s a tool built to last generations, not just see out one darning project. Its flat base means it also sits neatly on a shelf or table between uses, a beautiful object in its own right, not just a tool to be tucked away.
