Two beautiful shawl patterns in one, both with an all-over chevron lace detail, knit using the two-color brioche stitch! The new triangle shawl is the ideal spring and summer accessory for chilly evenings, while the square shawl is great for doubling up and wrapping around your neck or shoulders on cold winter days.
Both patterns can be easily modified for a larger or smaller shawl.





Needles:
100cm (40”) or longer x 3.5mm (US 4) circular needle, or size needed to obtain gauge.

Skill level:
 
Intermediate. Basic two color brioche skills are not required, but are recommended.
Techniques used: brioche knit (brk), brioche purl (brp), brioche increases and decreases.
The square shawl is knit flat from corner to corner, and the triangle shawl is knit on the bias from tip to edge, both using a large circular needle to accommodate large number of stitches.

Both patterns are written and charted, for your convenience.

Swatching for these shawls is a great way to play with different colors, to see what will work. If you’re finding that two colors aren’t working as well as you might have hoped, switch which one is the Main Color.
