Saturday the 1st of November : 11-3:30 pm

Claire will also be staying for a meet + greet and signing of her new Crochet Stitches Card Deck (launching in November).

The meet + greet will be at our shop from 4-5pm on the 1st of November.

Workshop perfect for new crocheters, or those needing a refresher, who know the basic stitches, but want to add to their knowledge or gain confidence in using these stitches to make a finished project.

To join the class, you must know the basic double crochet, half treble, and treble stitches.

We will cover working in the round to create motifs, including the basic granny square and some variations; basic pattern and chart reading, pattern abbreviations and terminology; shaping; cluster stitches; professional finishing techniques and tips including joining motifs and edging.

Materials info:

Participants will need:

3, 3.5, or 4mm hook. Ideally bringing at least a couple of different hooks would be great, to enable us to play with tension.

4ply, Sportweight or DK yarn in different colours, ideally at least two balls, or oddments of lots of different shades from your stash so we can play with stripes and different coloured rounds in the motifs. You can bring yarn to begin a scrappy granny scarf or blanket, for which the patterns will be provided, or just some scrap yarn to play with - or both! Loop will provide some yarns to swatch and play with as well.

Learners - it may also be helpful to bring a pen to make your own notations on the given worksheets or in a small notebook as often these notes are really helpful as an aide memoire after the class has finished.
