Meet the talented Maria Gispert Bahí, the creative mind and expert behind Rosita Studio.

Come join us at Loop for a 3-hour workshop in the morning on the 16th of November with Maria and learn how to create stunning floral embroideries on any surface. Maria will provide the beautiful cotton printed fabric and teach you the eight essential stitches she uses to create a variety of floral designs.

You won't need to bring anything, as there will be thread, hoops, needles, and scissors provided for the workshop. You can also take home the fabric sampler used during the workshop to continue practicing at home.

Samplers are included in the price of the workshop

Maximum of 10 students

Starting with the easiest stitches, the difficulty increases stitch by stitch; meaning you can learn at your own pace. The first half of the sampler is designed to get you familiar with the stitches and practice them; and the second half gives different ideas on how to apply the stitches learnt to embroider flowers.

After completing the floral sampler you'll be ready to stitch flowers on any cloths, home linens or accessories.

Once you've taken our beginner class and feel confident and If you're ready for more stitching, you might want to sign up for the intermediate class in the afternoon! You'll put those stitches you learned in the beginner class to good use making a beautiful floral alphabet stitch sampler.

The workshop will take place from 10:30 -13:30 with a short break and will be held right next door to Loop, at our lovely neighbour Frequency Coffee. Please come to Loop at least a few minutes before the class starts and we will  bring you over to Frequency, to settle you in with a free coffee as well.

About Maria:

Originally from l'Empordà, a beautiful coastal area of Catalonia, Maria now resides in Wiltshire, UK, where her partner runs a bakery. They share their home with their baby, Felix, and their dog, Poppy.

Her grandmother, Rosita, was the epitome of a simple life—authentic, hardworking, and multi-skilled in rural crafts. Rosita's wisdom in nature and traditions served as a profound inspiration, instilling values that are pursued daily in both life and business.

Her journey in sewing began at the age of five, under the tutelage of her mother, a seamstress and sewing teacher. Growing up, she mastered various sewing techniques and later trained as a pattern and dressmaker, eventually studying Fashion Design in Barcelona.

A lifelong passion for crafts, particularly colours, textures, and sewing, naturally led her to embroidery. Inspired by the old embroidered table and bed linens painstakingly created by the women in her family, she began crafting colourful modern heirlooms, giving birth to Rosita Studio.
