Well-produced full-colour booklet by wonderful Kate Davies.
Versatile, lightweight wrap or cowl in two sizes.

The BMC uses a traditional Shetland lace pattern (the cockleshell) and is worked in the round using Susan Stevens’ innovative no-purl garter stitch method.

Yarn required for the small size: 35 yards of each of 9 shades of fingering-weight Shetland wool. If worked to correct gauge in correct yarn, the cowl should use between 270 and 320 yards in total. For the large size: 95 yards of each of 9 shades of fingering-weight Shetland wool. If worked to correct gauge in correct yarn weight, the cowl should use between 850 and 900 yards of yarn in total.

Please note that this pattern is sold as a physical copy; it is not a PDF.
