Sizes Given: 19˝" Brim circumference; 20" Hat circumference; 8ľ" length
Samples Shown: One size; in color Hayloft
Gauge:
10 stitches & 15 rounds = 4” in stockinette stitch with Size A needle(s) and yarn held quadruple, after blocking
14 stitches & 21 rounds = 4” in 2x2 Ribbing with Size B needle and yarn held double, fabric slightly stretched, after blocking
6-stitch Cable Panel from Chart measures 2” at widest point
Needles:
Size A (for Main Fabric):
One 16” circular needle and one set of DPNs in size needed to obtain gauge
Suggested Size: 9 mm (US 13)
If using the Magic Loop Method for working Hat in the round, one Size A 32” circular needle can be used; and the 16” circular needle and the DPNs omitted
Size B (for Ribbing):
One 16” circular needle four sizes smaller than Size A
Suggested Size: 6 mm (US 10)
Size C (for Ribbing):
One 16” circular needle one size larger than Size B
Suggested Size: 6˝ mm (US 10˝)
Size D (for Turning Round Only):
One 16” circular needle one size smaller than Size B
Suggested Size: 5˝ mm (US 9)
Size E (For Joining Hem only):
One 16” circular needle two sizes larger than Size B
Suggested Size: 8 mm (US 11)
