This is a complete beginners class.

Join Duygu's crochet class and create a charming bandana to take home while learning new skills in the process!
@duyguturgok is an incredible crafter who's hugely talented in all manner of textiles and creating. She hails from Turkey, and is now living in London.

The workshop will take place from 10:30 - 2pm and will be held right next door to Loop, at our lovely neighbour Frequency Coffee. Please come to Loop at least a few minutes before the class starts and we will  and bring you over to Frequency, to settle you in with a free coffee as well. 

* This workshop is similar to Duygu's other workshop at Loop but is designed more for complete beginners.

Saturday June 29th 2024 : 10:30 - 2pm  ( with a short break of 15 minutes)

What You'll Learn:

  • Basic Crochet Stitches:
    • Learn foundational stitches such as chain stitch, single crochet, double crochet, and more. These stitches form the building blocks for more complex crochet patterns.
  • Pattern Reading:
    • Understand how to read and interpret crochet patterns. This includes recognising abbreviations, symbols, and instructions commonly used in crochet designs.
  • Finishing Techniques:
    • Acquire skills in finishing your crochet projects neatly. This includes weaving in ends, blocking, and adding decorative edges or borders.

What's Included:

  • All materials required for the workshop, including yarn and crochet hooks.
  • Step-by-step instruction from an experienced crochet instructor.
  • Printable crochet patterns for reference.

Class Duration: The workshop is a 3.5 hours session, providing ample time for hands-on practice and individualised guidance.

Takeaway: At the end of the class, you'll leave with a completed crochet bandana, newfound crochet skills, and the confidence to embark on more intricate projects.

About the Instructor:

Duygu Turgut Gökpınar is one of Turkey's most followed DIY makers. With a passion for punch needle, Duygu left her teaching career behind to pursue her dreams and founded her own studio “Good Things” to run workshops and work as a multi-dimensional maker.

Cancellation policy:

A  refund of payment for the class will be given for cancellations only if the spot can be filled by another student, minus a 10% admin fee. Please be considerate.

We reserve the right to cancel a class in unusual circumstances. We try to avoid this wherever possible, but sometimes it cannot be avoided. In this situation, of course, a full refund will be given.
