Uncommon Thread Cloud Fingering
Our newest yarn!
A gorgeously soft and fluffy yarn. The colours are just incredible, and the feel of this yarn is totally dreamy.
Cloud Fingering is ideal for those of us who cannot wear mohair, but tolerate alpaca well (and those who love alpaca, of course). It has a fuzzy halo with a cotton core that does not pick up dye. Although it has fingering yardage, it may be worked on much larger needles for an open and airy fabric.
This yarn would be fabulous for one-skein projects and gift-knitting such as the Sophie Scarf, Sophie Shawl, the Amos Balaclava by Sari Norlund, the Milli Kerchief by CocoKnits, and many other cowl and shawlette patterns. It's an absolutely beautiful and dreamy yarn. Of course it would be incredible for sweaters too.
Handwash cool, lay flat to dry.

Please note that as this is a hand-dyed yarn, each skein is unique. We recommend striping alternate skeins when using more than one in order to achieve a more natural gradation.
The Uncommon Thread care deeply about the environment and are aware of the effects that chemicals can have on it, so they make every effort to exhaust all dyes in the dyebath so that no nasties go down the plughole. It is not always possible to exhaust *all* the dye, all the time, especially with certain dyeing techniques, so if you are intending on using your yarn for colourwork or with paler colours it pays to give it a wash first, just to be sure.
We always recommend hand washing to prolong the life of your knitwear
