Dates

26 &27 February 2022 on ZOOM

2:00-5:00pm UK time

This is a six hour class over two days. 3 hours each day

Learn to hand embroider a custom map of a place that is personally meaningful to you. This masterclass is an opportunity to celebrate places where you find ourselves the happiest at- it can be where you live or a place that you love traveling to or one that exists in only memory. Working with a map of your choice, you will learn to develop a drawing of the map, transfer your drawing on to fabric, use a variety of  stitches to embroider your map. Taking inspiration from objects, photographs, maps and ephemera we will add motifs and patterns to the map.

Ekta will demonstrate all stitches & processes and offer feedback and inspiration. The emphasis will be on developing your personal ideas.  By the end of the masterclass you will have the skills and confidence to develop your map project further.

This course is suitable for beginners and those who wish to develop their creative skills further.
