Woolfolk Capsule – Undyed Merino DK Yarn
Woolfolk Capsule is a small-batch, undyed merino DK yarn in five natural shades. Exceptionally soft at 19.5 microns, it brings gentle depth and variation to textured stitches, simple cables and classic garments you’ll wear for years.
The fleece comes from a naturally coloured merino flock within the Ovis 21 co-operative in Patagonia, where a Corriedale cross introduced colour into the herd back in 2007. Since then the flock has been carefully bred for both shade and fineness. Over the past five years, Woolfolk have been setting aside the very best fleeces until there was enough to spin this limited run.
No dye is involved: the colour you see is the colour of the sheep. The naturally pigmented fibre gives each shade its own subtle character.
Quantities are limited, so if you’re planning a sweater, we suggest buying everything you need in one go.
