Quince & Co. Wraps per Inch Tool
A simple, well-made tool for identifying yarn weight—no more digging through your stash for lost labels.
Made by Twig & Horn from Fibrex MDF board (100% recycled/recovered, FSC-certified wood), matching the rest of their maker collection. A notch at the bottom left holds your yarn in place while wrapping, and a drilled hole at the top means you can hang it for storage, clip it to a project tote, or pair it with a Gauge Ruler Keychain. It's finished with an original Twig & Horn sheep graphic.
Two ways to use it:
From the top: Lay your yarn across the horizontal grooves and match the width of a single strand to the closest groove—a quick visual way to estimate weight.
From the bottom: Use the traditional wraps-per-inch method. Insert the yarn end into the left-hand notch to anchor it, then wrap horizontally, keeping each wrap snug against the last without pulling tight. Count how many wraps fit within the marked 1" section and match that number to the WPI scale on the upper part of the tool.
