Snowy Forest Sweater Kit
We have a new kit featuring one of our favourite Midori Hirose designs, the Snowy Forest Sweater!
Snowy Forest was featured in Laine Issue 10 and we fell in love with it at first sight.
The design was inspired by snowy and frosty cable patterns, like rime ice (freezing fog) on branches and snow-covered trees. In northern Japan, rime ice and snow cover trees thickly and build hulking shapes, which are called snow monsters. Midori has created voluminous snow monster cables and needle-shaped rime ice cables reminiscent of the beauty of a Japanese forest in winter.
We are thrilled to be able to bring you kits with yarns from Mominoki Yarns using their German Merino Light sport weight and their own Silk Mohair base held together for a stunning cosy sweater.
Our kit has all the yarn included to knit the regular version of the sweater, but the pattern has a cropped version as well.
The pattern is NOT included in the kit but is available through Midori Hirose's Ravelry shop.
Kits also come with a lovely limited edition bag from Midori Hirose to keep your project in!
SIZES - These are finished measurements. Remember to include the amount of positive ease you'd like in the measurement. For example, if you need a 36 inch chest measurement you would add 5-6 inches to get the size that is right for you.
Snowy Forest is worked from the top down in the round.
Recommended ease: 6” / 15 cm of positive ease.
