Tomomi Mimura @mimstermade is from the southern island of Okinawa and currently lives near Tokyo. She is an artist and a creator of darning-embroidery.
We are thrilled to have one of Tomomi's beautiful and charming handmade creations, the cutest hand embroidered squirrel!
Tomomi came across mosaic tiles in Guell Park in Barcelona in 2019 and was inspired to explore colour matching and mixing in her darning. She made a toy bear with tiles of darning pieces and it became her 1st piece of “Darning embroidery”
She loves to see how each animal made by others has a unique expression and face making them all adorable.
