Indigo Moon Pouch
We hope to have more Indigo Moon Pouches handmade by Karen Stevens, whose work we adore, in the coming year.
These sweet moon pouches are made of hand dyed vintage linens, dyed with indigo by Karen and embroidered and stitched with a moon face.
Additional appliquéd patches of favourite remnants, from Liberty of London to vintage Japanese cottons, or over-dyed hand silk-screened fabric. No two faces are alike, each has their own expression and mood.
Lined with natural light-weight canvas, metal zipper with recycled leather pulls.
Beautiful finished details on each one that is made with so much care.
Size: Approx 15cm (6") wide x 11cm (4.5").
For the last 25 years, Karen has been a freelance CAD instructor, training textile and fashion designers to create knits, prints and wovens for the garment industry. But these days you are more likely to find her in her creatively cluttered studio than on her computer, adding one more vintage patch to a favoruite pair of jeans or double gauze shirt. Her love of visible mending, natural fibers, hand dyed fabrics and slow stitching has recently turned into a small side business, creating one of a kind stitched curiosities.
Handmade items are not returnable.
