Floral Granny Square Crochet Workshop with Claire Montgomerie
Join us for a special crochet workshop inspired by Claire Montgomerie’s bestselling Granny Square Crochet Card Deck and her new Floral Granny Square Card Deck, launching this May!
Claire will introduce 50 gorgeous floral motifs, demonstrating how to work with them. You'll choose a motif, follow the charted pattern, and learn techniques such as working in the round, cluster stitches (Shells, Puffs, Bobbles), and creating three-dimensional flowers. Claire will guide you through new techniques, answer questions, and sign copies of the deck!
The Granny Square Flower Card Deck is included in the price of the class and will be ready for you when you arrive!

Held next door at Frequency Coffee (meet at Loop first for a short walk over & enjoy a complimentary coffee)
Skill Level
For improvers: You should be familiar with UK double crochet, half treble, and treble crochet.
Materials
All materials are provided and you'll be given a 4mm hook to keep, but feel free to bring your own DK yarn (at least two colours or various oddments) and a crochet hook if you prefere a different size (3.5mm, 4mm, or 4.5mm depending on your tension). You’ll also need stitch markers, scissors, and a darning needle. We'll have plenty of scrap yarn and other materials on hand as well.

About Claire:
Claire Montgomerie is a textile designer, author, stylist, teacher, and craft editor. Claire was Loop's very first Loopette from almost 20 years ago and is the designer of our Syd Rabbit pattern from Vintage Crochet, and the Sweetie Pie Capelet from our book, Loop's 10.
She has authored and edited many craft books and magazines, is the stylist and Photoshoot Editor for Inside Crochet magazine and has been teaching knitting and crochet workshops for over 15 years. Claire is also the author of the wildly popular Granny Square Crochet Card Deck.
