The beginner blanket is a blanket with a very simple pattern using garter stitch as well as a simple stitch pattern of yarn overs and knitting 3 stitches together. The pattern looks advanced, but is actually very easy to knit. The pattern includes both a charted and a written pattern.
The blanket can be knit using multiple colours or in a single colour with a contrasting stripe.

Before starting the blanket, it is important you knit a gauge swatch! This is because the pattern pulls itself together during the knitting, and the blanket widens quite a bit after washing. Thus it can be difficult to measure the gauge correctly without the swatch. The Eco Everyday Wool has an airiness to it that makes it especially suited for interior projects like blankets. The yarn softens up considerably after washing.
