This is a terrific class for anyone who wants to learn a few more skills that can transform the possibilities of your knitting.
Special round-up of more advanced techniques for Improvers  

A potpourri of advanced techniques for those comfortable with the basics of knitting and who want to extend their skills. In this three-hour session we will;

  • Ease in with some simple striping and colour changing

  • Master double-pointed needles

  • Learn how to do cables

  • Add a couple of alternative cast-offs to the techniques portfolio: Surprisingly Stretchy  Cast-Off and Three Needle Bind-Off

  • Tackle the challenge of Kitchener Stitch

3 hours.  11-2:00pm

Linda Litchfield  Linda is a former lawyer with a degree in fine art textiles from Goldsmiths, has been knitting for over 60 year,s and teaching knitting for 10 of those. She is slightly obsessed by knitting and yarn and loves passing on her skills to others. Teaching at Loop is her dream job.

Sophie Heathscott
Sophie Heathscott (she/her) has been crafting and making all her life, from dressmaking to ceramics. She learned to knit when she was knee-high to a sheep, and after studying Design at Goldsmiths, London, she fully wove herself into the knitting world – including being a Loopette for nearly 6 years! She is passionate about how making creates community and provides a remedy for overconsumption.

Cancellation policy

A refund of payment for a class will be given for cancellations only if the spot can be filled by another student, minus a 10% admin fee. Please be considerate.

We reserve the right to cancel a class in unusual circumstances. We try to avoid this wherever possible, but sometimes it cannot be avoided. In this situation, of course, a full refund will be given.

We're sorry, but Loop cannot be financially responsible for extreme weather conditions or any other situations that are out of its' control.

If we need to cancel the class due to any unforeseen circumstances, we will of course offer you a full refund or shop credit (whatever your preference is).
