It is knit sideways then a three needle bind off is used to create the opening for the sleeves and a few rows are knit in the round for the cuffs.\u003cbr\u003eStitches are then picked up to create the hem. And voilŕ!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eThe lace might look intimidating but it’s actually a very simple and meditative stitch to work on.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eMy favourite detail is probably the central lace panel where the two lace sides meet.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eYarn\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003e2 (2, 3) skeins of Blacker Yarns Samite, 460 metres (503 yards) OR appr. 920m (1006 yards) \/ 920m (1006 yards \/ 1380m (1509) yards) of \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.loopknittingshop.com\/c\/225\/4-Ply---Fingering-weight-yarns\"\u003efingering weight\u003c\/a\u003e yarn.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eNeedles\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003eA set of 3, 75mm needles (US5)\u003cbr\u003eA crochet hook of the same size\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eGauge\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003e19 sts x 36 rows = 4” (10cm) in lace stitch after blocking aggressively.
