Welcome to our new series of £5 Fridays! 

These classes will be one hour long and will go over some basic techniques every knitter will need to know to progress in your skills.  For any level.  Learn something new and add some great new techniques to your skillset!

Understanding charts

7 people maximum

6pm to 7pm - Held in our London shop.

This 1h demonstration will unlock some of the symbols found on lace, cable and colourwork charts to help you to better visualise patterns on a knitting project for flat and circular knitting.

Learn the abbreviations used on written and charted instructions.


Please bring 80cm or 100cm x 4mm or 5mm circular knitting needles.

Two contrasting colours of appropriate yarns for your needles.

A darning needle.

Taught by Linda Litchfield

Former lawyer with a degree in fine art textiles from Goldsmiths, Linda has been knitting for over 60 years and teaching knitting for 10 of those. She is slightly obsessed by knitting and yarn and loves passing on her skills to others. Teaching at Loop is her dream job.

Classes are held in the shop. Maximum of 7 students per class. 
100% deposit is required at registration. 

Cancellation policy: 
Full refund of payment for a class will be given for cancellations only if the spot can be filled by another student. Please be considerate. We reserve the right to cancel a class in unusual circumstances. We try to avoid this wherever possible, but sometimes it cannot be avoided. In this situation, of course, a full refund will be given. We're sorry but Loop can not be financially responsible for extreme weather conditions or any other situations that are out of its' control.
If we need to cancel the class due to any unforeseen lockdown measures in London we will of course offer you a full refund or shop credit (whatever your preference is).
